A tale of that wacky world of infertility that has now spiraled into the fascinating world of Guatemalan adoption and now... Parenting a child who's smile lights up the world, has a laugh that would drive the meanest person to hysterics and who also happens to have a genetic deletion at 16p11.2.

We are currently waiting on the results. Cross your fingers that they are in our mailbox at home. This wait has gotten very difficult for me. It's really getting to me lately and I'm barely holding it together. There is some legislation pending that could really effect adoptions. We would still move forward with Dylan (the legislation would really effect new adoptions) but I worry that it would slow things down for us considerably.

I have a question. Once all of the paperwork is done, red tape is filed, etc... how long before you have your child in your arms?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do it. You know your son is out there, yet not in your arms. You are a strong woman. I hope he comes home really, really soon.
ReplyDeleteThe wait is killing me. This week is especially bad. I can't sleep, I've gained weight and I'm more bitchy than normal. I had the stomach flu last week and a head cold this week and I know it is all brought on by stress!
ReplyDeleteHang in there. We might get our babies around the same time! I'm wishing both of us luck.
I'm usually just a lurker, but I can totally relate. We rec'd our referral last month and the wait is really tough. Are you planning to visit? We are as soon as we get the o.k. to do so from the agency. Although, I'm sure the wait after the visit is going to be unbearable!!
