A tale of that wacky world of infertility that has now spiraled into the fascinating world of Guatemalan adoption and now... Parenting a child who's smile lights up the world, has a laugh that would drive the meanest person to hysterics and who also happens to have a genetic deletion at 16p11.2.

Law Update and a Request for some Lovin'
The law was not read yesterday. Apparently there were more pressing issues to be discussed and the reading was put off. More importantly, 200 protesters arrived at the Congress steps and had the opportunity to voice their concerns directly to some of the Congress which seems to have had a positive effect. You can read more about it at Guatadopt.

On to more pressing issues... My dear friend Deanna. She is facing some obstacles with her adoption right now and could use your prayers/positive vibes/good thoughts etc. Oh, unless you are that icky troll that has been harrassing her and telling her that I shouldn't be adopting because I say fuck. If you are on my blog (and don't worry sweetie, I can tell when you are here), I will be forced to bring my minions to your blog and harrass the ever loving shit out of you.

Thanks for the loving! Things are looking a little better today. Nothing is for sure in adoption is it?
ReplyDeleteBIG Sigh of relief on the proposed law.
ReplyDeleteGotta go check on Deanna...
Hooray for the DNA match...I also am glad that the protestors were able to talk some congressmen.
ReplyDeleteJulie, julie, julie. I made it to your blog! Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Oh I bet youre gonna say go f yourself. As far as saying you shouldnt adopt because you say the f word alot....I never said that. I wish you luck, but why all the profanity?
ReplyDeleteSigned,
Dumy :-)
Dear Dumy :)
ReplyDeleteI'd never tell you to go fuck yuorself for offering me assistance. That's not the kind of person I am. I'm also not the kind of person who makes judgments of other people based upon comments they make on the internet (~stare~)
I will tell you the kind of person I am in real life though. I am a loving, caring and brutally honest person with a very colorful vocabulary who knows when and where it is appropriate to swear.
If memory serves, you are an adoptive parent or are in the process of becoming one. Please feel free to follow my journey, comment if you wish (I prefer that you don't do it as anon but if that's what you must do...) but please don't judge.
Signed,
