Coming Out of the Closet Part Duex
When my Mom was told that we were adopting, we weren't that surprised at her response.. "I'm designing the baby's room!" My Mom has amazing taste. Well, in the Baby's room there is a closet whose doors were removed by the painters we had hired to paint the house when we moved in and they never bothered to put them back on. That gave my Mom a great idea. Since the room was relatively small to begin with, forget the doors, do a closet organizer and put custom curtains over the closet. It took Marc 8 hours to put the closet organizer together and it took the drape guy about a half an hour do to the this.....

We also had custom blinds and cornice done to match

Oh, and the day they put up the blinds and stuff, Mom showed up with that bear. How fucking cute is that???
Oh, if you want a Shelly Original, I will hire her out. Kidding. Ok I'm not. I think my Mom would be great at this.

Do you just keep walking in there to stare around? I would have to steal a peek each time I passed it! It looks lovely so far. It must be theraputic for you to prepare this room for your little muffin. Making a safe cocoon for your child. A room that will echo with laughter & love & dreams & a few tantrums too.
ReplyDeleteI also love the picture of you & your man on your opning page. I cn feel the Lurv! He sounds like a rare man! Where did you find such a treasure? I can almost hear the sound of your laugh when I look at that picture & I bet it's a ripper!
Oh that closet is kick ass. When this whole adoption thing is done and you've had a bit of a rest, I want you to adopt me. I like blue, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy everything that happens and remember it. It'll make for an awesome story for your child.
