A tale of that wacky world of infertility that has now spiraled into the fascinating world of Guatemalan adoption and now... Parenting a child who's smile lights up the world, has a laugh that would drive the meanest person to hysterics and who also happens to have a genetic deletion at 16p11.2.

A little lightness....
Thanks to my friend Suby (aka Cathy) on the weight watcher's GDT board today for this lovely quote....
I'd rather go to the gyno than the dentist, but of course, when I go to the gyno, I know in advance how many cavities there are.
Amen Sister!
Now you know, you've brought up a big debate between me and my best friend Lisa. She hates to go to the gynecologist but loves the dentist. I am just the opposite. I haven't been to the dentist in 5 years, since this random guy extracted my wisdom tooth with inadequate anesthesia. I've always loathed the dentist. We should take a poll. :-)
I'd rather go to the dentist - I never have to have the "weight loss" discussion with her. Ugh - thanks for bringing this up - it's time for the Gyno. Bleck! Wasn't I poked and proded enough last year?
Hey Julie....I didn't get a chance to post yesterday but wanted to chime in tell you how sorry I am that you are going through all of this. Hang in, you are such a loving, giving person and deserved a much better birthday. Sending you hugs. Oh....rather get poked than go down for the drill, couldn't they just invent a drill with a silencer!!! Chrissi

ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I always say I would rather go to the gyno than the dentist. I have serious dentist phobias.
