A tale of that wacky world of infertility that has now spiraled into the fascinating world of Guatemalan adoption and now... Parenting a child who's smile lights up the world, has a laugh that would drive the meanest person to hysterics and who also happens to have a genetic deletion at 16p11.2.

****BANGARANG!!!*******
Everything except the I797 is now on it's way to the Dossier Prep lady. Our photos, our passport copies, all of our authenticated documents, everything. She is going to put them together and take them to DC to have the Guatemala Consultate authenticate everything. Then everything goes down to Guatemala to begin the process there.
Hang tight little one - Mommy and Daddy are working hard to bring you home.

Yipppeee! You're on your way...
ReplyDeleteWow! It is so amazing and wonderful and exciting and cool and...well the list could go on.
ReplyDeleteYeah- does he have a name yet or are you holding tight on that until things are a little more final? (Or maybe you have a name but don't want to share just yet?- that's fine too.)
ReplyDeleteYeah, sounds like things are moving for you. Congratulations. As I know nothing of international adoption, when do you think you will be able to go and pick up your son?
ReplyDeleteHow damn exciting!
ReplyDeleteAnd.....I just got our CIS fingerprint letter!! I think I'll go tomorrow!!!!!!
Oh god, Julie, this is soooooo exciting!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen when when? How long will this all take?
Congratulations! It will be so nice to have the whole paperwork stage done. We had an End of Paperwork Party when our dossier finally got to Guatemala. One of these days I'm going to click on your page and you will have your referral! So exciting! I remember what a wonderful, yet stressful journey this was, and I am so enjoying reading about yours. Congratulations!

Yeah!! It won't be long now!!
ReplyDeleteJulie, I'm not sure whether I've posted before, but I have read your blog for a while and was just thinking about how happy you and your husband look, and how happy your posts have been lately, and I wanted to thank you for your inspiration. I'm getting into gear to go the adoption route, and there's some sadness in that transition, but your story and happiness remind me of what it's all about.
ReplyDeleteAll best wishes to you, and love that gym story.
Yay! It is so exciting reading about your journey.
