A tale of that wacky world of infertility that has now spiraled into the fascinating world of Guatemalan adoption and now... Parenting a child who's smile lights up the world, has a laugh that would drive the meanest person to hysterics and who also happens to have a genetic deletion at 16p11.2.

Sorry
After learning of someone else's experience publishing photos of their adoption child, I have decided to pull the pictures. If you are a regular and would like, I'd be happy to email you the photos.
I'm sorry but I need to protect our son.
I'm curious as to what happened to the other person posting pictures? I have wanted to post pics of little M but she is not legally ours yet so I haven't.....now I wonder if I should at all. Can you share the story?
Again - I hope you guys are enjoying your family!!!
Congratulations! I hope the first night of Hanukkah was a joyous one for your family. It must be so exciting for you to have him home. I saw his picture before you took it down so I know just how sweet he is. Take care this holiday season, L'Chaim Luv Lala
thanks for sharing your travel journal-we are hoping to go next month for our visit trip-our son is almost 3 months old. i'd love to know who your agency is (or the agency of the poor couple visiting their one year old)-if you feel comfortable letting me know, email me at koolknitter@yahoo.com. thanks, kelly
I'm a regular reader delurking long enough to say that I can completely understand your need to protect your son. You're a Mom now! I have an 11 month old and I'd do the same. Thank you so much for all that you have shared so far and congratulations on having your boy home with you for the holidays!
I am so pleased that I got to see the pics of Dylan, he is wonderful and I understand why you decided to pull them.
I have been debating if I should set up a password protected site for pictures, once we have our little girl. Sadly I still have lots of time to decide.
Hi Julie, I was just thinking... would you feel comfortable posting the pics on a "password protected" blog site. You could then link the blog to the website but the "bad" people couldn't see the pics. Whatcha think?
Totally understandable. I'm glad I got to see him in all of his glory. Hope your Hanukkah is glorious and happier than you could ever imagine!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious.. what can happen? Is it diff because he's adopted?
ReplyDeleteTotally understand Julie.. We Mamas have to protect our little lambs..
ReplyDeleteHappy Hanakuah(sp) sorry

It's sad when you have so much pride in the wonderment you have but you can't share it freely 'cause of the protential harm it can bring.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I got to see pix of him, because he really is more beautiful than words could ever describe.
Happy Hannukkah!!

Happy Hanukkah (sp). I'm glad I got to see the pics too. Precious baby boy you've got. Two great parents to parent him too.
ReplyDeleteDo you know where the pics of the other baby were posted? Could you share?
