Needing some prayers/good thoughts/vibes, etc.
Yesterday morning, Marc went to the gym and I got up to feed Dylan his first bottle of the morning. All of a sudden he went very stiff and was staring at me definantly. I laughed and told him to cut it out. Then he started to shake. I realized he wasn't be stubborn, he was having a seizure. I called 911 and then I called the gym and told them to have Marc call home. The police arrived shortly thereafter and so did the ambulance.
Very long story short, he had a seizure in the hospital near our home, then in the ambulance that transferred him to the Children's Hospital in the next city over, then he had two seizures in the ER at the children's hospital.
He's stable - they think it's a virus. He's had a CT scan, spinal tap, tons of bloodwork and is currently undergoing an MRI.
I know Dylan will be okay but your prayers, good thoughts, healthy vibes would be most appreciated.

ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I brought our baby girl home from Guatemala on December 8th. she caught the roto virus in Guatemala and had to be admitted to the hospital for severe dehydration, diarrhea and vomitting. She spent two nights at the hospital and went through the same tests as your baby. She is doing much better now. It was a very scary and though experience for all of us.Is he home now? Did the doctor tell you what kind of virus he caught? We will keep Dylan in our thoughts.
take care,
Souad
Oh, how scary! I hope little Dylan gets better very soon and doesn't experience any more seizures.
ReplyDeleteGeez louise, Lady! How did I miss this post!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you experienced this. Seizures can indeed be scary. Had he been having a fever?
How very scary! What an event. I can't even imagine. Hang in there. Prayers are with you.
